Description

Give your community a geographic edge with the Ultimate Member User Location extension. This powerful add-on allows your members to add their physical location to their profiles, which can then be beautifully displayed on an interactive map. It is an essential tool for local directories, interest-based groups, or any community where knowing “where” your members are is as important as knowing “who” they are.

By integrating with the Google Maps API, this extension provides accurate geocoding and a seamless map interface. Users can easily search for other members based on proximity or specific locations directly from the member directory. With features like user clustering and avatar markers, your site transforms from a simple list of names into a dynamic, global map of active users.

Key Features:

• Interactive Member Map: Display all your members on a professional map within the member directory.

• Proximity Search: Allow users to find other members near them or in specific cities and countries.

• Auto-Detect Location: Users can click a single button to automatically fetch their current coordinates for their profile.

• Custom Marker Styles: Choose between standard Google markers, user avatars, or role-based icons to represent members on the map.

• Profile Integration: Adds a “Location” field to registration and profile forms that stores latitude, longitude, and address data.

• User Clustering: Automatically groups nearby markers together to keep the map clean and organized, even with thousands of members.
